DASHIKI

How's your weekend going lovely readers,

I usually don't blog on weekends but since its particularly hot today,  I decided to post a casual outfit that is perfect for a hot summer day.
To the rescue is the perfect cotton tunic known as a "Dashiki". The dashiki, was a symbol for black ethnic pride in the late 1960s and 1970s though it was later adopted by the hippie counterculture.   I don't think the dashiki ever went out of style, it's just had a sort of resurgence in the past couple of years. Everyone is wearing them. I mean everyone including celebs.  I've had mine for several years now and it was gifted to me by my Mom. Anyone can wear a Dashiki. They come in different colors and there is not a right or wrong way to wear one.

Enjoy your Weekend.

Peace & Love,

Ifeoma
